Warning! Adventure ahead.

ump falls.jpg

If your idea of ADVENTURE is anything in the “great outdoors”, then pack up your gear and get on over to Kittitas County. From the Snoqualmie summit, through the Wenatchee forest, and on east all the way to the Columbia River, this is your playground!

Put “dreary” in  your rearview mirror.  Life is so much more fun “off road”, and in Kittitas County that means you are enjoying yourself in minutes instead of traveling hours and hours to get away from it all.

Water Recreation

Kittitas County is rich with water recreation opportunities, from paddling around in high mountain lakes, floating the Yakima River, to water-skiing in several waters around the county.

Fishing

Fly Fishing in the Yakima River

Fall fishing is no secret, but if you're new to sport and are itching to hook onto "the big one", this is a great time of year to try. After the irrigation needs of Washington's great wine and fruit country is quenched the river level is dropped and becomes a wader's paradise. With miles of water directly accessible by car, plenty of fish that know the hard times of winter are right around the corner, and insect activity that rivals spring and summer—why aren't you out there!
